This is something that has been on my mind lately, and I’m writing to try and hash things out.

I’ve commenced a bachelor of communications through monash/griffith university, and so far everything has gone really well. I’ve managed to pull through with higher than a pass (!) maintain my relationship and keep my full time employment. Although I have that tingling feeling that my job isn’t right. 

The big thing is that I would like to embark on my career, not just work a job and I want to do it now, not at the end of my degree. 

one of the big sticking points is my resume. I’ve had series of jobs in the IT industry, and while they are great for paying the bills and taking my mind off things that I’d actually like to do in my life they are very specific jobs with a very specific skillset that I have cultivated in my four years in the industry.

I feel like I’ll be turned away if i mention to my prospective employers that I am a full time student. 

That and I am scared of moving away from my comfort zone. What if I fail? 

If I’m being honest with myself failure is the best excuse for procrastination that I know. So Project dream job commences - and if I fail I fail. at least I tried.
